Special Needs Kids Competition
Drusilla Park is a Zoo and Playland that can be found in among the stunning scenery of the Cuckmere Valley at Alfriston in East Sussex. It is open every day of the year except three days over Christmas.
It is no ordinary zoo, as well as the numerous animal attractions and exhibits on offer, there are also opportunities to join in workshops to find out more about the animals, a chance to be keeper for a day and take part in a number of activities as you tour around the zoo, such as the free Animal Spotter books and Stamping Trail.
If all that wasn't enough there is also the excellent Playground, a paradise of slides, swings, ropes and climable things. You can also pan for gold, try Adventure Golf and take a dip in the Explorers Lagoon.
Best of all Drusillas Park caters very well for visitors with special needs and is accessible to all. Throughout the Park you will find wheelchair routes and low level viewing with imaginative and interactive exhibits. There is also a 'Sensory Trail' around the Park which incorporates a number of multi-sensory exhibits. This can be accompanied, upon request at the zoo entrance, by an audio trail with tactile animal outlines.
For more information about the park visit their website here.
