Domiciliary and Respite Care
Respite care is often described in simple terms as a way of giving parents a break from caring for their special needs child and children can often benefit from these short breaks as much as their families. Domiciliary care is supportive care in the home, an every day type of care.
Every family's needs for children's domiciliary and respite care are different, so we've compiled a list of children's care providers to try to help show parents the type of care options out there from charities to private organisations.
Our Care Charities and Information section features charitable organisations that provide information on respite care centres or hospices, some offer care services too. The Care Directory features private organisations who offer a range of respite and domiciliary care services for special needs children.
Please note: Special Needs Kids does not directly endorse and of the organisations featured and care providers should be contacted directly for any care services enquiries.
